Join New Haven Community Library for this year's 2021 Summer Reading program! This year the Library will host a summer reading challenges for readers ages 2-17 as well as outdoor programming for young children and families. Summer Reading Challenge
Register your child and/or teen for this year's Summer Reading Challenge!
This portion of the library's Summer Reading Program helps encourage reading throughout the month of July while earning the chance to win great prizes. This program is for children & teens, ages 2 through 17.
Parents can also choose to register online and receive digital downloads of our reading logs by filling out the following Google Form: https://forms.gle/TL5p2hEbuBgyJMQ3A
Upon sign-up, parents will have access to the library's weekly Summer Reading Newsletter with resources for literacy, information about library programs, and reminders for turning in reading logs.
Join us Wednesday mornings at 10:30 am on the Village Green at the heart of New Haven for storytime with Miss Katie.
Each week we will share stories, sing songs, and learn new rhymes together based off our weekly Tales & Tales theme. A limited amount of take & make craft kits will be available as well.
Grab a blanket and your morning snacks, and join in some early literacy fun!

July 14th - Sea Tales
July 21st - Forest Tales
July 28th - Pet Tales
*In the event of rain, our storytime will be held at the library.*
Please check with the library about masking and distancing guidance for programs. We will post what is required and/or encouraged here on our Facebook page as well.
Tails on the Trails
Join us on July 24th for a special one-day Storywalk program in collaboration with The Watershed Center.
Stop by the Watershed Center trail at 4783 Plank Road to enjoy One-Dog Canoe by Mary Casanova. Leashed pups are welcome to join families on the trail.
New Haven Community Library has Vermont State Park and Historic Site Passes available for checkout! Check out your local state parks with this free service from the library.
Park Passes are valid for day-use at any of the Vermont State Parks. Passes are checked out for a 3-day loan and are not renewable. Patrons can call ahead to reserve a pass for same-day pick-up.
