Ready for Green Up Day on May 6th? You can help your local library "green up" our book shed by stopping by the Friends of the Library Bag Book sale on May 6th from 9 am till noon. Community members are asked to bring their own bags, and the price is right at just $8 per bag. As always, all proceeds from the sale go to support the library's work including special collection purchases, new equipment and furniture, or fund programming for the community.

Cookbook Book Club

Looking for a new kind of book club? Love to cook? The Library is starting up a second book group in New Haven with a Cookbook Book Club. A bi-monthly book club (6 meetings a year), participants will get to dive deeper with a cookbook for 6 weeks and share thoughts about the book they chose with other participants over a potluck meal.

We'll be working with cookbooks by Deb Perelman of Smitten Kitchen fame for our first meeting on May 18th at 6:00 pm. If you would like to join, please email the library at librarian@nchl.org.

Craft Circle

Thursday, April 20th - 1:30 pm

Love to craft? Want to work on a project with other creators? Join us at the library on May 18th at 1:30 pm for Craft Circle. Makers of all kinds are invited to join us at the library to work on their projects in a relaxed, social environment.
